Wayne Gilbert was born on the east coast of Virginia and moved to Florida in 1985, where he was introduced to art glass. He and his partner of eight years live in Ft. Lauderdale, where Wayne works exclusively with designers and showrooms.

Wayne's work as an artist has inspired commissions nationwide. He designs multimedia works conceptualized solely for their intended architectural environment.

Wayne's work has been on exhibition in numerous galleries and design showrooms. Many of his creations, designed in various mediums, have been on a grand scale, as "Public" art for end clients such as Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott and the Grand Bay hotel.

Some time ago, Wayne was asked to do a piece for a silent auction for Broward House, an AIDS organization that we volunteer with. He decided to do a nude male sculpture. The response was overwhelming, leading to a series of nude male table top sculptures and other fine sculptures ranging from beautiful candle holders to nude females, and numerous individual flawless nudes. A line of great abstract sculptures was also introduced.

All of Wayne's work is of the finest handcrafted workmanship, carved and hand-painted 3/8" and 1/2" glass, uniquely designed. Enjoy viewing his work as much as He has enjoyed creating it!
